Songs of Praise Special

We can't wait for tonight's special Songs of Praise Special at the local pub The Bank House in Hixon. I hope it will be as busy as usual!
Sunday school in Frasdwell and Hixon was brill and we all had fun, adults and youngsters. I thank the Lord for Gill, our sister in Weston and her team, whose Messy Church activities were inspirational.
Happy Mothers' day to all mothers and children/adults. May the Lord bless you in abundance. Much love. In Christ. Amen.

Crazy act 1 done!

That's it, the vicar has climbed up the steeple...successfully! He wore a yellow jacket that said..Getting closer to the boss! Here are a few photos courtesy of Kath Newbould, thanks again Kath!..I wish that I'd seen him do it but then again, I feel giddy just thinking about it!

Going up!...
and down!!

Job done! Congratulations to my darling hubby!  Many thanks to the team of contractors.

This is it! Crazy act is about to begin...

This is the time : 10 a.m. In a little bit more than 2 hours and 33 mn, the vicar will be climbing up the spire of Hixon church. Looking by the window, i see frost everywhere. Hopefully, it will be warmer by then. I will be at school but looking forward to see all the photos!

Crazy act 1

Hot from the Press. It looks as if Steven will go up the spire on Friday...depending on the weather of course..Unfortunately, I won't be able to see him do this exploit as I will be at school. I am sure there will be plenty of 'supporters' there. No time yet. I will keep you posted.

News about the fundraising event!

So far so good, signatures are piling up. There is no date at the moment so watch this space!

I have posted photos of our half-term hols in the family/parish blog. Here are the 'important' ones, they summarise the hols, bbq galore and bird watching, very relaxing hols. Praise the Lord!

Imogen may not seem very excited about visiting the birds reserve...however, the bribe is in the 'excellent mocha' she was allowed to have there. (at a reasonable price, of course!)
I must stop rambling and dash to our PCC meeting. Have a blessed evening!
