Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight

Last Sunday on the 1st March 2020,
we enjoyed hearing a series of mini-talks on Hebrews 4:12-16

Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Hebrews 4:14
Therefore, since we have such a great high priest
who has passed through the heavens,
Jesus the Son of God,
let us hold firmly to what we profess.
Talk on Hebrews 4:14 by Catherine Chambers

Hebrews 4:15
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathise with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.
Talk on Hebrews 4:15 by Derek Chittick

Hebrews 4:16
16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Evangelising in France!

Neil Cole is talking about evangelising, giving us lots of examples and answers to questions! It's an amazing talk!
These are only a few notes!
We have  been called to be light in the darkness!
What is darkness? Darkness is absence of light (Einstein) so you are not shining, go in the darkness, bring Jesus with you because light overpowers darkness.
The new converts will take the gospel in the next house. We have to have confidence that the gospel will spread!
When you come in a community who does not have Jesus, what you are looking for is one person that is receptive to the gospel and when that person becomes a christian this person will have an influence affect somebody else. This is a peace person.
What does this person look like?
She knows everybody in the community and the community knows her. It could be somebody who is well respected or a low character and they are greatly feared. Either one is OK. When they become a follower of Christ, I call those people a domino. There has been a the New Testament, Matthew, good character? he was a tax collector which means he was unpopular, Jesus was a friend to sinners and tax collectors who are the worst. Jesus looked in the tax office and he said this is my apostle. Matthew threw a party and brought Jesus to the party.
What about Lydia? She is an Asian woman who lived in Europe and a business woman. Paul meets her by the river,
The Ethiopian eunuch, a politician, Philip shares the Gospel with him. The Coptic church traces ...
What about Cornelius?
The Samaritan woman?

Trust God to take away your fear!

2 Timothy 1:7
7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
In some versions, it says 'cowardice' instead of fear, in others, it speaks of 'timidity'
Our King and Saviour, Jesus tells us in the gospel of John 14:27
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Again, in the  Gospel of Matthew 6:34 Jesus tells us: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
The apostle Peter encourages us too, he says in 1 Peter 5:6:7
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.
7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
So brothers and sisters in Christ, let's us be joyful today and confident in Jesus-Christ, our rock and King, not letting our heart tremble by what we hear or see in the news for He loves us, we are his beloved children.  Amen.
